Highlights: Series of Workshops in Asian Universities

We are excited to share the highlights from our recent workshop in the “Series of Workshops in Asian Universities.” Held on July 17, the event featured Nicole Ponce, Asian Front Convener, and Passang, Bhutan National Lead, who presented on “International Law and International Legal Framework for Climate Change.” The workshop was attended by 22 students from Australia, Singapore, the USA, and Bhutan, along with professors from the JSW School of Law summer school. The interactive session encouraged lively discussions on international law and climate change.

The workshop aimed to introduce WYCJ and discuss recent developments in climate change, emphasizing the significance of the ICJ advisory opinion. Participants gained a better understanding of the legal frameworks driving climate action. WYCJ looks forward to continuing this series in other Asian universities, empowering youth and advancing climate justice through education and advocacy.

Stay tuned for more updates!
